How Can I Help

Every person who walks through my door is carrying something different. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. I believe in meeting you where you are and building from there.

Individual Counseling

Individual counseling with me focuses on understanding the patterns that keep you stuck, building self-awareness without self-judgment, and creating real, sustainable change. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, identity questions, career transitions, or the weight of expectations, we’ll work together to find your footing.

This isn’t passive therapy. I’ll be engaged, curious, and honest. I’ll ask you to do the same.

Common issues: Anxiety and stress. Depression and emotional numbness. Career transitions and identity shifts. Expat adjustment. Self-worth and people-pleasing. Grief, loss, and life transitions.

Are you carrying more than anyone around you realizes?

Are you stuck in patterns you can’t seem to break?

Do you feel like you’re going through the motions but something fundamental is missing?

Couples Counseling

Most couples wait too long. By the time they walk in, the distance has calcified. But that doesn’t mean it’s too late. It means the work matters more.

I draw from Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help couples understand their conflict patterns, rebuild emotional safety, and learn how to turn toward each other instead of away. Gottman gives us the roadmap for how healthy relationships actually work. EFT gets us underneath the surface to the attachment needs driving the conflict. Together, they help couples stop having the same fight on repeat and start having the conversations that actually change things.

We'll look at what's underneath the arguments, the withdrawals, the quiet resentments. And we'll build something stronger than what was there before.

I work with all couples: married, unmarried, same-sex, multicultural. If you're two people who want to fight for each other, I'm in.

Common issues: Communication breakdown. Trust repair after betrayal. Cultural differences in the relationship. Parenting disagreements. Intimacy and connection. Pre-marital counseling.

Has your relationship gone quiet in a way that worries you?

Are you having the same argument over and over without resolution?

Are you thinking about whether to stay or go?

Teens and Young Adults

Being a teenager is hard enough without doing it in a country that isn’t home. Expat teens face a unique set of pressures: building an identity across cultures, losing friend groups to relocations, navigating academic expectations in international schools, and managing the loneliness that comes with being perpetually "the new kid."

I’ve worked extensively with primary and secondary students at The Harbour School and understand the international school world from the inside. I create space where teens can be honest without performing for their parents, their teachers, or their peers. Sessions are direct, age-appropriate, and built around what’s actually going on in their lives.

For parents: I’ll keep you informed and involved at a level that respects your teen’s need for autonomy. We’ll work as a team.

Common issues: Anxiety and academic pressure. Social isolation and friendship difficulties. Identity and cultural adjustment. Family conflict. Self-esteem. Behavioral changes. Screen time and digital wellbeing.

Is your teenager withdrawing, shutting down, or acting out in ways that feel out of character?

Are they struggling with the transition to a new school or a new country?

Do you worry they’re carrying more than they’re telling you?

Men’s Mental Health

Men are told to handle it. Push through it. Figure it out alone.

That works until it doesn’t. And when it stops working, most men don’t know where to go.

I create space for men who are tired of performing strength they don’t feel. I’m direct. I won’t waste your time. We’ll get into what’s actually going on, and we’ll work on it together.

Addiction and Recovery

Addiction isn’t a character flaw. It’s a solution that stopped working. Whether it’s alcohol, substances, gambling, or behavioral patterns, I approach recovery with curiosity, not shame. We’ll look at what the addiction is doing for you, what it’s protecting you from, and what a life without it could actually look like.

Recovery is an identity project. It’s not just about stopping. It’s about becoming someone who doesn’t need to escape.

Are you relying on something to get through the day that you used to be able to take or leave?

Have you tried to quit and found yourself back where you started?

Do the people closest to you see a problem you’re not ready to name?
